Our story

Before we get into the weekend, here's how we got here.

The beginning (January, 2017)
How we met

In college, Natalie's main goal was to study abroad in Italy. She took three and a half years of Italian and chose a random program and city to apply for. She was waitlisted, and at the very last moment got the call that she was accepted to join the Turin program.

Cam wanted an escape after grinding away at being studious and working towards his degree (and soon to be a Magna Cum Laude smarty). He followed in his brother's steps and decided to study abroad…in Italy…in Turin.

After they met, Cam asked Natalie to get coffee the next day (where he accidentally missed his first Italian class, but he's said it was worth it and it made Natalie laugh). They then spent the next semester traveling together, falling in love along the way. Cam said he loved her on top of La Mole at the end of their trip <3.

Growing together (2018–2024)
Long distance, Atlanta and so many trips!

After Italy, they were long distance over three and a half years. Cam made his way to Denver then Minneapolis, while Natalie stayed in Dallas. They visited each other often, and during Covid spent longer periods of time together exploring Minneapolis and getting into climbing.

With little surprise, travel continued to be a core part of their relationship, especially while they were long distance. From Germany and Norway to Colombia and Argentina to Costa Rica, South Korea and Vietnam and so many more countless adventures, they are so grateful for the opportunities they've had to explore the world together and can't wait to keep exploring.

In 2021, they both made their way to Atlanta, along with Natalie's sister, Sarah. There, they have built a life full of adventuring, board games, laughter and Luna.

The proposal (Nov. 5, 2024)
We are so excited about what's next

In November of 2024, Natalie and Cam headed to Seoul, South Korea. While there, they stayed in a Hanok village and took their time exploring the city and palaces.

The Hanok they stayed in had a lovely garden and a window that overlooked the city.

On November 5th, Cam proposed (stating he had been wanting to do this for a while) and Natalie said yes (after also falling to her knees, she was completely surprised). There were tears, laughter, and so much joy. They were both so head over heels with excitement and so grateful to have a chance to celebrate their love and reaffirm their commitment to each other.

Cam had planned a photoshoot for that evening, which included some k-drama style photos. Please enjoy them below.

Build your itinerary

Some of our favorites in and around Mexico City. Tap to add anything that catches your eye.

Teotihuacán
Did you know there are pyramids you can explore right outside Mexico City? This archaeological site includes the Pyramid of the Sun, the third-tallest pyramid in the world. About 45 min–1 hour away from the city. We recommend a tour to learn the history while you’re exploring the ruins. If you get up early enough, you can also take a hot air balloon ride at sunrise.
Xochimilco
Explore this network of canals full of color, food, music and more! Take 45–75 minutes to float along on one of the many boats (and bring a big group for a larger party).
Puebla
Around two hours from Mexico City, Puebla is known for its history, food and architecture. We recommend taking a day trip to explore.
Tepoztlán climbing
There are some routes on Mountain Project around Tepoztlán. While we haven’t explored them ourselves, if you’re interested in climbing take some time to check them out. We also plan to climb at the beginning of the week. Consider joining us if you plan to fly in the weekend prior.
El Chico National Park
México’s first national forest reserve. About two and a half hours north of Mexico City for a gorgeous pine forest full of hikes and well-bolted climbs ranging from 5.8–5.13.
Museo Nacional de Antropología
This museum is epic! With a huge concrete water feature (El Paraguas, The Umbrella) in the central courtyard, history spans from room to room covering Aztec, Mayan, Olmec and Teotihuacan culture. You can also see a model of the city of Teotihuacan. Plan at least half a day.
Bosque de Chapultepec
In the heart of Mexico City you’ll find a giant urban forest filled with gorgeous nature, museums, street food and a castle! Plan at least half a day, with breaks to eat and rest after walking around for hours.
Casa Azul (Frida Kahlo Museum)
Interested in learning more about the life and work of Frida Kahlo? Take some time to explore this museum set in the house where Frida and Diego Rivera lived. Tickets tend to sell out, buy them online in advance if you plan to go.
Palacio de Bellas Artes
This dramatic building is beautiful from outside, but if you want to view the murals and explore the arts programs, hop on a tour or look for a concert or performance taking place there.
Museo Soumaya
Free admission and a large art collection spanning six floors. The futuristic silver building itself is also unique to see from outside!
Tepoztlán artisan market
Local crafts, mezcal, and traditional food. Best on weekends.

FAQ

Everything you need to feel prepared for the weekend.

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for.

For those who wish to share more, please see the link below. After being together for so long, we have most of what we need to be adults and would love to focus on saving for our future (and honeymoon).

Friday’s welcome dinner and Sunday’s brunch both do not have a dress code, just come to celebrate!

Saturday: dress to impress with cocktail attire (semi-formal). Keep in mind parts of our venue have outdoor walkways, so choose shoes accordingly.

The bride also plans to change into sneakers during the reception, feel free to bring a change of shoes if you don’t want to wear heels the whole time!
October in Tepoztlán is warm during the day and cool at night (potentially low 80s°F by afternoon and low 60s°F after sunset).

It’s the end of the rainy season, we recommend preparing for that potential with a light jacket or umbrella.
Mexican Pesos (MXN) are used throughout México. Credit cards are accepted in many restaurants and places in Mexico City and Tepoztlán. We do recommend you bring cash for the open market, tips and smaller shops.
This event will be reserved for adults only. We hope it gives you an excuse for a little getaway.
Please RSVP by July 1, 2026 so we can finalize arrangements with the venue.
Tipping is expected and appreciated.
